To review the importance of long-range planning for professional work
To teach the basics of building a resume
To begin working on resume with resume worksheets
Character Talk: Self-Discipline
To show the students, by way of contemporary examples, that self-discipline is the means to achieving their personal and professional goals.
To demonstrate to the students that – in addition to being unmanly – self-indulgence and laziness get in the way of personal goals, lessen one’s concern for other people, and jeopardize one’s relationship with God.
Out-of-class work
Discuss and complete mentor worksheet.
The student should bring his first semester report card to next month’s mentoring session.
He should think more about the kind of school he would like to attend, and speak with his father about this.
