To show the arena for living the virtue of loyalty is one’s daily life and ordinary friendships. Give practical examples of loyalty in the life of a typical high school student.
To stress that is the practice of loyalty – not amusement or flattery – that makes a friendship meaningful.
To demonstrate, via examples from history and general culture, that loyalty is an indispensable virtue for one’s professional career, friendships, and role in civil society.
